Sound Interwoven - Nettle

  • The Yoga Garden Swallows Lane Horsham, England, RH13 8NN United Kingdom (map)

An immersive sound journey through the spheres of Cello, Crystal Alchemy singing bowls, flute and Shamanic drum.

Embark on a transformative journey as Garwyn and I meld the expressive sounds of the Cello with the ethereal vibrations of Crystal Alchemy singing bowls. In the the month of green awakening, we will weave sound with nature's poetry, receiving the life-giving tonic of wild Nettle tea.

The season of Spring has a mysterious way of bringing latent things to the surface; everything starts to wake up, our minds reignite, and bodies begin to change, with an understanding that it's time to lighten, vitalise and clear. It is no coincidence that the first green shoots of the season support this process to revive tired, weary souls and lift the heavy layers of Winter.

The Spirit of Nettle is sharp, vital, cleansing and protective. Valiant and verdant, she is one of the first wild plants to germinate in early Spring. Some say the name 'Nettle' comes from the Anglo-Saxon word Netel, meaning needle—identified by the small sharp prickles that give this green ally her sting. An innate protective mechanism, Nettle's sting teaches us boundaries with an awakening touch to revive, purify and support those who harvest her mindfully.

Beyond its physical attributes, Nettle plays a crucial role emotionally, helping us connect with our fire energy, re-sparking vitality and restoring our resilience while clearing the dampness of grief and congestion in the system. Her medicine goes deep into the body, breaking up stagnation while cleansing and purifying the blood. Nutrient-rich, Nettles are fantastic for rebuilding after convalescence, supporting the entire system with rich bioavailable iron and serving as a superb lymphatic tonic!

Nettle cuts loose old patterns and re-weaves connections."   — Susun Weed

Once we have received the medicine of Nettle, we will rest in body, bathed in Sounds Interwoven. Guided through a shamanic journey, you will be led gently into and out of the sound. Afterwards, there will be space for reflection and sharing for those who wish, fostering connection and insight. Join us on this journey of replenishment, rejuvenation, and wild alchemy!
